GeForce 9600GT Video Card

The NVIDIA GeForce 9600 video card chip set is one of the newest form the trusted IT manufacturer NVIDIA. This is NVIDIA’s ninth generation chip set and is good for all of you video needs. This card uses the the most modern interface PCI-Express 2.0. And with NVIDIA SLI technology (not offered on all brand names) you double your performance just like have dual core in you your video processor. This chip set is offered by several different manufactures From names like Gigabyte, Sparkle galaxy and OCZ just to name a few. This is a very fast chip set, Games really love this chip set on all brand names runs games like COD4, Fallout Goty at high settings. Fans are known to be a little noisy on some brands, and the low profile versions are known to run hot so it would not hurt to add some more fans to your Computer case. Different versions of this card come with different memory configurations and core clocks, also available ports vary from card to card. The fan speed is controlled by the drives and therefore makes the Cards a little loud until the said drivers are loaded into the operating system.

Personally i believe this is a really good chip set that everyone can enjoy from gamers to video enthusiasts and developers, however, i would do my homework to make sure that you get the features you want if just selecting by the chip set

name alone you may not get some of the really cool features listed. I really thing the Open source community would really enjoy this chip set as well seeing as how NVIDIA has great support for LINUX. And don’t forget with being SLI ready you are really future proofing your hardware because when you feel like you don’t have the horse power you need just buy a another and slap it in your box and away you go.

Geforce GTX 275 Video Cards

This graphics card gets an excellent overall review! This is a brand by the manufacturer “BFG Tech” that is the most common product in the Geforce GTX 200 Series. So I will go over a review of this product.

There is great image quality and media playability. It is very reliable and stable when overclocked whilst under even the most heaviest of loads. Though, you might want to make room in your case, so make some measurements before purchasing this card for it is quite large; approximately 4-inches longer and somewhat taller than the older video cards that users had to replace.

It is also great for budgetary reasons compared to the latest and most recent cards. As far as noise is concerned, it runs smoothly and rather quietly.

It’s very good for your hardcore gamer and you can pretty much play any game without any crashes nor lag. As an example, the graphics intense game “Crysis” was playable just fine with all the graphical settings turned all the way up!

There aren’t many complaints but there are some things to note. Adjustments might need to be made. For instance, this card doesn’t self-adjust it’s speed to compensate for efficient cooling of the card, so you might want to download an application known as “Nvidia’s Ntune” program where you can go in and make the necessary adjustments in the application; make the settings for around 65-70% when running games for an ideal temperature. Also, you might want to provide a decent amount of case space to allow for decent airflow and circulation to optimize cooling in the case.

Other things to note, for any kind of resale, the warranty is non-transferable and is only a valid for the original purchaser. The artistic design of the heat sink is impressive as well as good packaging and attention to detail with great customer service and technical support.

BFG Tech BFGEGTX2851024OCBE GeForce GTX 285

The Geforce GTX 285 on its own is one of the fastest single GPU video cards currently available. It is hardly a surprise that BFG Tech made the decision to over clock the Geforce GTX 285 and the results are outstanding.

First and foremost the specs need to be laid down: the BFG Tech Geforce GTX 285 is running the core processor at 702MHz with 1GB of GDDR3 RAM. Those are the specs for the BFG Tech Geforce GTX 285 version and not the original Geforce GTX 285. The results of BFG Tech’s performance is quite impressive with just over 100MHz on the GPU and the shade throughput has been increased by about seven percent as well! The memory has been increased by close to seven percent too.

The card has a very pleasing appearance just as the original and does not produce excessive amounts of heat nor suck down too much power. The BFG Tech Bundle only comes with the PCIe express power connector which was a little bit upsetting but then again, most power supplies from the past 5-7 years feature at least one PCIe express power connector. The BFG Tech Geforce GTX 285 does not come bundled with much else, just a DVI to HDMI converter and the DVI to VGA dongle. There is also a HDTV breakout adapter with the S/PDIF cable. The bundle is a little on the conservative side and does not feature any bundled game but that is okay since the main focus here is the BFG Tech Geforce GTX 285 which also comes with an outstanding warranty.

The warranty that comes from BFG Tech is a lifetime warranty for USA based customers and 10 years within the Europe. You will need to register the card with BFG Tech within thirty days of purchase but that is not a big deal and quick process. The BFG Tech Geforce GTX 285 is another great product from BFG Tech and the performance upgrades are spectacular. This is probably the best card available right now in the single GPU market.
