The NVIDIA GeForce 9600 video card chip set is one of the newest form the trusted IT manufacturer NVIDIA. This is NVIDIA’s ninth generation chip set and is good for all of you video needs. This card uses the the most modern interface PCI-Express 2.0. And with NVIDIA SLI technology (not offered on all brand names) you double your performance just like have dual core in you your video processor. This chip set is offered by several different manufactures From names like Gigabyte, Sparkle galaxy and OCZ just to name a few. This is a very fast chip set, Games really love this chip set on all brand names runs games like COD4, Fallout Goty at high settings. Fans are known to be a little noisy on some brands, and the low profile versions are known to run hot so it would not hurt to add some more fans to your Computer case. Different versions of this card come with different memory configurations and core clocks, also available ports vary from card to card. The fan speed is controlled by the drives and therefore makes the Cards a little loud until the said drivers are loaded into the operating system.

Personally i believe this is a really good chip set that everyone can enjoy from gamers to video enthusiasts and developers, however, i would do my homework to make sure that you get the features you want if just selecting by the chip set

name alone you may not get some of the really cool features listed. I really thing the Open source community would really enjoy this chip set as well seeing as how NVIDIA has great support for LINUX. And don’t forget with being SLI ready you are really future proofing your hardware because when you feel like you don’t have the horse power you need just buy a another and slap it in your box and away you go.

This graphics card gets an excellent overall review! This is a brand by the manufacturer “BFG Tech” that is the most common product in the Geforce GTX 200 Series. So I will go over a review of this product.

There is great image quality and media playability. It is very reliable and stable when overclocked whilst under even the most heaviest of loads. Though, you might want to make room in your case, so make some measurements before purchasing this card for it is quite large; approximately 4-inches longer and somewhat taller than the older video cards that users had to replace.

It is also great for budgetary reasons compared to the latest and most recent cards. As far as noise is concerned, it runs smoothly and rather quietly.

It’s very good for your hardcore gamer and you can pretty much play any game without any crashes nor lag. As an example, the graphics intense game “Crysis” was playable just fine with all the graphical settings turned all the way up!

There aren’t many complaints but there are some things to note. Adjustments might need to be made. For instance, this card doesn’t self-adjust it’s speed to compensate for efficient cooling of the card, so you might want to download an application known as “Nvidia’s Ntune” program where you can go in and make the necessary adjustments in the application; make the settings for around 65-70% when running games for an ideal temperature. Also, you might want to provide a decent amount of case space to allow for decent airflow and circulation to optimize cooling in the case.

Other things to note, for any kind of resale, the warranty is non-transferable and is only a valid for the original purchaser. The artistic design of the heat sink is impressive as well as good packaging and attention to detail with great customer service and technical support.

People who bought Radeon HD 5750 are delighted from its performance. Comments like “it’s a tank”, “tens bucks out of ten”, “runs perfectly”, “the card is incredibly fast” are all over the internet.

Modern games like Modern Warfare 2, Doom 3 and UT 3 are a breeze to play on this terrific graphic card. This card is loaded with power; it can run games like Crysis on full settings.

All this graphics power needs worthy power supply to satisfy this giant’s appetite. A branded power supply of at least 600 watts is recommended.

ATI has positioned this card close to Radeon HD4850 and Geforce GTS 250. The GPU supports Directcompute, multi threading, Hardware Tessellation and shader 5.0 extensions.

One other big feature of this card is support for ATI Eyefinity, which allows single card to be connected to up to six monitors. Multiple monitors are give fantastic experience to gamers as well as people who want to multiply their work productivity many folds.

This card is loaded with advanced technology, power and premium features required to experience immersive game play. Radeon HD5750 supports DirectX 11, which enables you to have realistic visuals and mind boggling HD gaming experience.

Radeon HD5750 comes with GDDR 5 memory that gives you the speed and responsiveness from its ultra high bandwidth. ATI CrossFireX technology allows you to put multiple graphics card in the same system, giving you ultimate scalability.

A 40nm core at its heart and dual slot cooler heat is not a problem is this slot. During tests it never crosses 70C. When idle it is so cool that you would not feel much heat while touching it.

This card supports excellent acoustics. Even under full load you will hardly hear it pumping that much graphics power. When it comes to power consumption, this card has the best per watt performance in the market.
For its price the ATI Radeon HD5750 performs really well but if you can spend a little more go for ATI 5770.

The card has better performance than the competition. It’s efficient, runs very quiet, supports DirectX 11, can be coupled with other ATI cards, has very good cooling solution, and most card manufacturers give lifetime warranty.

A Dual DVI Video Card is a must-have for graphic designers, and an extremely useful device for any gamer, programmer, or anyone who wants more screen space for work or play. Dual DVI allows you to connect two monitors to the same video card, essentially making your computer workspace twice as big. You can play around with this in all sorts of ways, depending on the size and quality of the monitors you have. If you’re a web designer, one monitor could showcase website while the other is dedicated to coding. If your hobby is gaming, you can keep tabs on multiple points of view in your game, or have one window dedicated to chat. The possibilities are endless.

Some Sample Dual DVI Cards

Before beginning, let me state that dual DVI is quite common in most new video cards. It’s an easy hardware addition, and the two main video card manufacturers, ATI and nVidia, see no reason not to include it in their cards. That said, here are some reviews of various video cards.

Budget
Geforce 9600GT – Solidly below $80 and available at some stores for as low as $60, the Geforce 9600GT is considered by most reviewers to be the best video card for anyone building a computer on a budget. With a 256-bit memory bus an 512 Mb of DDR3 memory, this card still manages to hang with the best budget cards nowadays. Despite its nearly two years of age, it even beats out the recent GeForce GT 240, just released six months ago.

Mid-range
Radeon HD5750 – A step up, the HD5750′s main draw, aside from its exceptional performance for under $150, would have to be its DirectX11 capabilities. Arguably the cheapest card with DX11, this ensures that if you’re using your dual-monitor system for gaming, you’ll be able to keep this card through the next wave of high-end games including Aliens vs. Predator, Dirt 2, Civilization V, and Lord of the Rings Online. It’s not going to be able to let you choose the highest quality on these newer games, but it’ll perform well enough to get by.

High-end
Geforce GTX 275 – For just under $250, the Geforce GTX 275 is a competitive, impressive graphics card. It performs nearly the same as the higher-tier GTX 285, but at nearly $100 cheaper it is clearly the better value for designers and gamers who want the smoothest, crispest graphics at an attractive price. The only downside? It’s got two digital inputs and zero analog, meaning that if you don’t have digital monitors, you’ll have to go with a different card.

In the world of video gaming and ultra complicated 3D rendering for business use, PCI-Express video cards have quickly became the gold standard for PC compatible computers. While standard PCI slots are commonly available for low bandwidth accessories such as sound cards, TV tuners and USB add on cards, PCI-Express slots are primarily used for high bandwidth devices such as video cards. PCI-Express has replaced older technologies such as AGP (Accelerated Graphics Port) and for good reason; AGP-8x has a limited transfer rate of 2,100 Megabytes per second in contrast to PCI-Express-16x has a far superior transfer rate maximum of 16,000 Megabytes per second.

What makes PCI-Express even more desirable than older PCI or AGP interfaces is the ability to connect several compatible video cards together. Scalable Link Interface (SLI) offered by Nvidia based video cards as well as Crossfire (offered by ATI based video cards), are the two available flavors available today when it comes to extreme gaming or highly advanced business computing that relies heavily on 3D rendering. Of course, the amount of compatible video cards that can be linked together is limited by the chipset of the motherboard as well as the physical availability PCI-Express slots.

As of this writing, ATI seems to have the leading performance edge in the gaming industry. As the battle continues for the top spot between manufacturers, Nvidia seems to be catering more to the budget conscience gamers at the moment.

The ATI Radeon HD 5970 is currently the top dog when it comes to computer gaming. The Duel GPU video card has become so popular the manufacturer has had an extremely tough time keeping up with consumer demand despite the 5970’s $799 retail price tag. With dual DVI, HDMI and Display Port connectivity options, ATI’s new flagship model has a great deal of versatility built in. Other features include: 2 Gigabytes worth of onboard GDDR5 memory, DX 10/11 support and 3200 stream processors.

While Nvidia is lagging the top spot as far as raw performance, the company offers many budget minded video cards worthy of a look. Their current and best entry level card is the GeForce 9800 GT. This baseline card boasts 16x Anti-aliasing Technology, 128-bit floating point High Dynamic-Range (HDR) Lighting, Microsoft Direct X 10 technology and a small form factor for those who have less room available in their computer case. Although starting to show its age, the 9800 GT is still one of the fastest video cards in its class and can be picked up from most retailers for around a $100

Dual monitor video cards allow one computer to use two monitors simultaneously without having to add a second video card in order to run the second monitor. There are many benefits to using a dual monitor setup, mostly related to workplace use and productivity, but can also extend toward certain aspects of gaming. Luckily, the modern market has plenty to choose from.

In the past, dual monitor video cards were priced significantly higher than those that only allowed for a single connection, frequently costing more than $100. In recent years, these cards have become the standard and can be found at a very reasonable price. Some retailers even offer video cards that support two monitors for as little as $20.

The advantages of dual monitor graphics cards primarily lie at the productivity end of the computer use spectrum. Having an additional monitor provides you with extra screen space, allowing you to be able to view much more at once than you would be able to with a single display. For example, let’s say that you are the office manager or accountant for a company and frequently need to switch between a work order and your accounting software. Having a second monitor allows you to view both simultaneously and switch between them at a glance instead of having to move from one program to the other.

That is not to say that the benefits of a dual display are limited only to working, however. There have been many creative uses of multi-display setups for video games, such as a flight simulator that allows you to have the forward, port, and starbird views displayed simultaneously, one on each monitor.

Still, despite the benefits that dual monitor video cards have to offer, they do still have their drawbacks as well. When one video card is running more than one display, the resources that that card has to offer are going to have to be enough to operate both displays simultaneously. Now, if all that you are doing is office work, web browsing, or other activities that do not require a lot of video power, you are going to be just fine. If, however, you are going to be gaming, you will need a more powerful graphics card in order to compensate.

There may also be problems that occur when the software being used does not understand how to use multi-monitor setups or if, such as in a game, the software uses full-screen mode and the user scrolls the mouse off the edge of the display or clicks on the secondary display. Still, these problems will not be significant for many applications.

As you can see, there are many different benefits to using dual monitor video cards. From productivity to gaming, the applications are wide and varied, and those options can become available for a very reasonable price. The next time you install a new video card in your computer, consider using a dual monitor video card. You may be glad you did.

The Geforce GTX 285 on its own is one of the fastest single GPU video cards currently available. It is hardly a surprise that BFG Tech made the decision to over clock the Geforce GTX 285 and the results are outstanding.

First and foremost the specs need to be laid down: the BFG Tech Geforce GTX 285 is running the core processor at 702MHz with 1GB of GDDR3 RAM. Those are the specs for the BFG Tech Geforce GTX 285 version and not the original Geforce GTX 285. The results of BFG Tech’s performance is quite impressive with just over 100MHz on the GPU and the shade throughput has been increased by about seven percent as well! The memory has been increased by close to seven percent too.

The card has a very pleasing appearance just as the original and does not produce excessive amounts of heat nor suck down too much power. The BFG Tech Bundle only comes with the PCIe express power connector which was a little bit upsetting but then again, most power supplies from the past 5-7 years feature at least one PCIe express power connector. The BFG Tech Geforce GTX 285 does not come bundled with much else, just a DVI to HDMI converter and the DVI to VGA dongle. There is also a HDTV breakout adapter with the S/PDIF cable. The bundle is a little on the conservative side and does not feature any bundled game but that is okay since the main focus here is the BFG Tech Geforce GTX 285 which also comes with an outstanding warranty.

The warranty that comes from BFG Tech is a lifetime warranty for USA based customers and 10 years within the Europe. You will need to register the card with BFG Tech within thirty days of purchase but that is not a big deal and quick process. The BFG Tech Geforce GTX 285 is another great product from BFG Tech and the performance upgrades are spectacular. This is probably the best card available right now in the single GPU market.

Gamers are demanding more from their video cards, and one of the better offerings to come out in recent memory has to be the XFX Radeon HD 5830 card. Upon first glance the card looks great, and is relatively pleasing to the senses, with overall quality to the naked eye. Looking closer at the card itself, you can notice a modern twist, with fan attached and classic Radeon styling.

The card is roughly 10″ long and is a little shorter than larger HD cards, and compared to other cards in the same price range, it’s quite good overall. With the relative size, only hardcore gamers will find this adequate, as the novice gamer might not have the motherboard or box to handle this card. The ports and power connections are standard and it comes with a single Display Port, one HDMI, and two DIV ports in back. It also has a pair of six pin power connectors alongside the edge.

The card features ATI’s Eyefinity technology, which allows your field of view in game up to three different displays. This gives you a wider sense of peripheral vision inside games, while giving you the maximum possible productivity by allowing more workspace and more windows visibility at simultaneously. The technology also allows you to keep many applications running without exhausting your resources or overheating your machine. The performance enhancement is attributed to the card off loading tasks that might usually be sent to the CPU to the GPU, alongside full Microsoft Direct X11 support.

Another key point to the XFX Radeon HD 5830 HD gives you full 1080p display power, and makes the Blu-Ray viewing experience life like. You’ll be able to get full definition on all movies, with an enhanced Unified Video Decoder standard.

Some additional data to consider is that the Video Card runs a GPU of RV850, Core Clock at 800, Memory Clock at 4000, Memory Type 1GB GDDR5, Memory Interface 256, Shader Processors 1120, and Direct X 11 support.

To sum it all up, the XFX Radeon HD 5830 is quite good in terms of functionality, noise and price. While the price seems a little high, it’s still a decent value considering the output of the HD components and the streamlined views that you get with both First Person Shooters and Third Person Shooters alike. The card stands alone, but also has a great over clocking potential, and a rich accessories bundle that could be seen as major upsides.

The Sapphire Radeon HD 5970 is based on the outstanding ATI HD 5970 chip set. The ATI HD 5970 chip set is a great chip set and as such it comes as no surprise that the Sapphire Radeon HD 5970 scored an insane 22,000 in 3DMark Vantage. That essentially means that the Sapphire Radeon HD 5970 is currently the fastest video card in the world.

The hardware is what makes the Sapphire Radeon HD 5970 shine – running a ATI GPU at 900mhz, 4GB of GDDR5 RAM (Clocked at 1,200 MHz) and 3 different fans over-top of a massive heat-sink. The 3 fans provide ventilation for the massive amounts of heat produced by this video card. The Sapphire Radeon HD 5970 is without a question thicker than your average video card; many consumers have replied that it is quite ugly as well, luckily it is on the inside of your computer case so looks aren’t particularly important.

The Sapphire Radeon HD 5970 has two DVI and one min-Display output. The Sapphire Radeon HD 5970 is best left for serious gamers and boasts amazing performance in the latest video game titles. This card can run just about any game on the max settings without the risk of slowdowns or graphics lag; it will run those minor DX11 games you might have on your hard drive as well.

The biggest complaints about this card are the very large size which takes up way too much space inside the computer case. The card also produces a lot of heat which while the 3 fans do a nice job at pushing the heat away from the video card they do very little to help get that heat out of the computer case. The Sapphire Radeon HD 5970 has no support for any operating system except for Windows and will fail to even perform basic functions under Linux.

This card is best recommended for Windows users with a serious interest in gaming. A large PC case with plenty of open space and proper ventilation will be necessary; no weak power supplies either. The Sapphire Radeon HD 5970 rightfully deserves the title of fastest video card although the title of “best” is a controversial matter of a opinion; if only the Sapphire Radeon HD 5970 were ten times smaller.
